A little Crohn's humour

I was reading another thread and a woman on there had mentioned that she named her bag Maggie (sorry I don't remember your handle!). I thought this was fantastic! And now I want to name mine.....

Any ideas for a name for my bag? If I could make this a contest I would..... "Name that colostomy bag!!"

Cindy

Cindy, that's a great idea for a thread!!

I know Sharon (Merrywidow) named her bag Fred. IDK if Kello (Kello82) has named hers LOL

But yeah - start that thread, girl!

Maybe those without bags could join in just for fun....? Maybe?

If I had a bag, I would name him Oscar because I know he'd be grouchy all the time.

My bro has one named Hilda. I have no idea why in the world he named it Hilda.

I think Rosebud is a cute name because to me, a stoma looks like a little rosebud.

Speaking of Crohns humor I was going to give you an excellent name for your bag, but I don't have the "guts" to say it! Get it? HA HA I kill me.

Hiya Nyx
I've already said that when I have to have a bag I'm gonna put it in a diamond encrusted Gucci bag attached to my hip and rename it Pucci lol

Hi ya! That was me! My bag's name is Maggie. My stoma's name is Shona. My ileum, which i dont have anymore, was William, and my small intestine is called Valentine. Yip, Ive spent a lot of time giving my Crohnie bits names. it means it's easier to get mad at them when they are being naughty, lol. Also, my friends have caught on and every now and then will ask me how valentine is doing, or if shona has been behaving herself. Kind of less annoying than asking me how I am all the time

My boyfriend has put in his 2 cents...he thinks it should be Jack the poop sack...lol

Hi KiwiJo..sorry I couldn't remember your handle earlier. But I did love that you named your bag; it seems to make things easier to handle for some reason. I've found so far, that it's better to laugh about it than to cry...Mine's permanent so I'm going to have to get used to it! Thanks for the idea...

lol@pain in the butt...I was pondering calling myself that too! Nothing easier to remember than the truth

Thanks everyone for your input...it's been great!

No kidding!! I almost died when I found out how expensive these things are! And the government only grants $600 a year for them!!! Cheap bastards.....

Does it ever! I just spent $200 on 5 flanges and 10 bags....it's ridiculous! Maybe I need to make friends with people where it's cheaper and have them send them to me....lol
