Gastroduodenal Crohn's Disease

Gastroduodenal Crohn's Disease is characterized by inflammation in the stomach and duodenum. Common symptoms include weight loss, nausea, loss of appetite, pain in the middle of the abdomen, and occasionally vomiting. Gastroduodenal Crohn's Disease is often misdiagnosed as normal ulcer disease and a correct diagnosis is not made until symptoms worsen. As the jejunum is where most nutrients are absorbed, those with Gastroduodenal Crohn's Disease often experience malnutrition due to malabsorption.[1]
