Paracetamol acetominophen

Also marketed under the trade name:
Panadol
Dymadon
Panamax
Tylenol

This is a painkiller suitable for mild to moderate pain, including headaches and general aches and pains. It can also be used in conjunction with prescription painkillers to enhance the effects.

Excessive or long term use can affect the liver, therefore if you are taking large doses or taking paracetamol regularly, you should speak to your doctor about stronger painkillers. However, for occasional use, it is probably the safest OTC painkiller for people with IBD to use.

Tylenol is the most common brand of paracetamol acetominophen sold in the U.S..
