Perforated Bowel

A Perforated Bowel or Perforation anywhere in the Gastrointestinal Tract is a very serious condition which can be fatal if not treated immediately. A Perforated Bowel Often requires Surgery.

A Perforation is a hole or tear. When this occurs in the Intestine it can cause a massive infection due to spilling of intestinal contents into the Peritoneum.

A Perforated Bowel can exhibit symptoms such as:
- Severe Abdominal Pain
- Fever / Chills
- Nausea / Vomiting
- Pneumoperitoneum
- Change in Bowel Habits
