Questran, also known as Cholestyramine is a bile acid sequestrant normally prescribed to reduce cholesterol. In people with IBD is it sometimes prescribed to reduce the frequency of diarrhea. It has been shown to reduce levels of vitamin B12 levels as well as the fat soluble vitamins, A, D, E, and K.
