Need advice thanks

Hi with Crohns pain, can it be everwhere moving etc. I can feel things up high right side then middle then lower left, like small cramps or moving gas. After I use the toilet it seems ok then starts again. No blood unless I go 5 times a day and wipe to hard ahhh. My stools daily start of like bricks then turn to much then water. I have been ok ish for the last 6 months, but feel like crap for the last 4 weeks. I have had gastro issues for the last 5 years. But my 2 gastro specialists will not say it's Crohns or ibs. My last calprotectin test came back as 6. Thanks

Did you diagnosed with crohns or not you may try capsule endoscopy or Mri if you did colonoscopy. As for pain and stool try Curcumin + Probiotics + librax

Thanks for the reply, have had 2 colonoscopy, endoscopy, lower MRI, cat scan, ultrasounds, cat with dye. I changed GP who put me on to another gastro specialist, as my first one was a Colorectal surgeon. New GP said to see a Gastroenterologis. He did find minor diticulits, some polyps, and inflammation. I then had 4 calprotectin tests that started high then pegged down to almost zero. I did get sick in February this year in Indonesia, 30 hour sickness both ends. Maybe that's what has brought it on. Also been under a lot of stress last 7 weeks. I will try the curcumin I all ready take probiotics and metamusil capsules. Thanks

Im in the same boat all the GI they saw me told me you have IBS i did everything all test all normal but abdominal cramps and discomfort bloating and to much gas . Loose stool . Yesterday i did capsule endoscopy and i will get the results next week

Abdominal pain that is relieved by bowel movement is one of the key symptoms of IBS. Your history of infection in Indonesia combined with your current symptoms and low calprotectin suggest you might have a post-infection case of IBS instead of IBD.

I suggest you work closely with your gastroenterologist to nail down a clear diagnosis, since it will make a big difference in which treatments are appropriate. Capsule camera endoscopy and/or MRE may be useful in getting a clearer look at the small bowel.

Thanks for the info, over the last week I have been ok, today a normal stool. But I have been watching what I eat. As in spice chili garlic etc. Still getting the odd pain. One thing that I can't explain is, if I eat a meal, and something is not right, I get the stomach gurgle straight away, then run to the toilet (how can it happen so fast) then I feel like sleeping. No energy etc. Happened last night, and I ate appropriately. Driving me crazy. And my wife crazy. As in ibs or ibd, iam stuck in that limbo. I hope it's, only ibs. Thanks for your help, the ibs forum is full of nut jobs and other crazys.

There is prescription strength probiotics
Ds has crohns but ....
When he stops probiotics
He has more random bouts of diarrhea
He is on meds for crohns
The prescription probiotics however do keep things more normal bm wise
He takes visobiome
One packet 900 billon a day
His Gi prescribes it

Another thing to investigate is SIBO (small bowel bacteria overgrowth). Symptoms of that mimic IBS or IBD etc. It is a simple in office test.

FWIW - my daughter’s GI felt she may have some IBS or SIBO overlay to her Crohn’s and he told her to use Florastor probiotic because there is also a fungaL aspect to it also and he has a lot of success with using it for IBS and SIBO.

did you change anything in your diet in the past 4 weeks that may have increased your gi symptoms? quite a few additives in the food system can do that, artificial sweeteners, emulsifiers, or preservatives perhaps? its good to back track to find something that may have started the symp
toms, its not always explainable though, many times it is.

Not really, bit of stress as in work. A death in the family and a friend who passed away. Adds up a bit. Still not 100% but not as bad as was. Cheers
