Has anyone had any itching of skin/scalp?

I have Crohns disease and wanted to see if any of you have had any itching of the skin and scalp with rashes of small bumps? Yesterday I was miserable and have never experienced anything like this. It has occurred on other days in the past also but not as bad as yesterday. Today I am fine. Thanks.

I get skin itching quite a lot and can't sleep because of it.I have crohn's also.
The skin specialist said to use lots of moisturising cream which I do but the itching is still there.
At night I will use a cold cloth then the moisturiser but finally have to take anti histamine for relief and to get some sleep.Recently I am finding it helpful to avoid soap and use a soap free gel---expensive but worth it ,made byLipikar.
Aveeno makes one also but I prefer the Lipikar one.
Have you let your docs know about it since there are certain blood tests they may want done.
Feel better soon.
Hugs

Thanks so much to both of you. I will look into the soap free gel. I go to the doctor next month and will let them know about this.

My scalp goes crazy when I start to flare.

I recommend seeing a dermatologist for some mild rx cream. You won't necessarily need it all the timr but I'm glad I have meds on hand when I do have problems.

Hi there,
I had itching and sore scalp for years. I tried many shampoos , even doctor prescribed ones to no avail. I found the solution! Use Molton Brown Indian Cress Conditioner and it will sooth the scalp. Leave on for about 4 minutes or so, before washing out ie. after shampooing first , of course.
I now use their shampoo as well, expensive, but you do not need a lot, and it works! Let me know how you get on. Good luck.

Is the conditioner cold on your scalp, and where can you get the conditioner from.

Hi there,
I See you Live in the U.K. so you will have no problem buying Molton Brown products. Any good department Store like John Lewis or House of Fraser sell these products. Also, you can order online , just look up the Molton Brown site.
The conditioner, Indian Cress, by Molton Brown is very soothing. It solved my problem. Use it every couple of days. Good luck. A little goes a long way. My hair products last for months.

Man ive been on here less then a week.....and keep ranting about things ive found and studied as well seen in my self....
Every dam person has symptoms for fungus/yeast..
It blows my mind????

For me all the advanced testing pointed to candida nothing a doc found
Everyone here google and look hard at medical studies.
Every crohns person has antibodies to AMCA -CANDIDA OR ASCA -BAKERS BREWERS YEAST

YEAST IS FUNGUS....

For me I found a test ibd expanded panel tested 5 antibodies

Asca alca amca acca in crohns you will have antibodies to one or more...
Who ever had the skin problem ask there doc to test these antibodies

If ask your dermo for diflucan for blood and nystatin for the gut do a week of each
If you get better you know your problem is yeast... and can work on a plan to battke your full problem

Pay the money for this test in the usa....no hospitalin the us does it a privite lab ranked the best
Do there organic acid test.as well there comp stool..and look at there sample reports ..it one of the best you can do tells you yeast etc bacteria... ill send mine to anyone in email if they want http://www.greatplainslaboratory.com/home/eng/full_oat.asp also look at there comp stool helped me they do international testing its 645.00 be cheaper with conversion to pound

Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

I had to have a water softener installed. The first time I had the itching stop, was when I used plain soap with soft water. But it had to be plain soap, not fragrancy soap.

When I switched back to shampoo, the itching started again. I figured out it was the Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein (or H Vegetable P, which can still be wheat), and I'm allergic to that. I had never thought to look for wheat there before. Once I got rid of that stuff, the itching stopped again. I've been fine since. I use Paul Mitchell if anyone wonders. But not all their stuff is wheat free, just most of it.
