So we may have to try rowasa with DS soon.
He is getting a scope again to see if its proctitis or sigmoidproctisis?(sp?)

He will be using that in addition to his humira .

How long does it take to work?
Does it leak during the day if you give it at night ?
Not sure if it will be once or twice a day .
He is only nine so accidents at school could be an issue.

Thanks

I found no matter what time of day you use it, within 30 minutes it's pooped out.
It does not leak :)

Rowasa helped me after about 3 days. I initially only used it at night. For the first week, I was only able to hold it in for about 20 to 30 minutes, and then after that I was able to retain it all night. Whether or not it leaks out depends on how strong your sphincter muscles are. It can stain clothing if it does leak out. I didn't have trouble with it leaking out, just initially there was urgency, but I did adapt to it.
