Wilson's Disease/low Ceruloplasmin?

Hi all,

Have any of you ever had a ceruloplasmin test? My GI wants to rule out Wilson's disease because I've had serious itching for a long time. My ceruloplasmin levels came back low which can be a sign of Wilson's disease. But cursory googling shows it can just be a sign of malnutrition or malabsorption.

So he's having me do a 24 hr urine test for copper levels and go to the ophthalmologist to check for characteristic rings around the cornea. We'll see what happens.

Anyone else ever had this?
