Hi all, glad to be here. I have never been part of a support group or forum but thought I'd give it a try beings that it sometimes seems that I'm the only human on the planet that has a clue that Crohn's exists and what feelings comes with it. Most of the people I know I feel that in some way believes I am a hypocondriac. But anyways... I was diagnosed in 2001 after tons of abuse from all those fun tests you get. After 12 different doctors had told me everything from appendix problems to irritable bowel syndrom I finally found someone who believed me and checked a little deeper for the truth of it all. By the time I was diagnosed, I had lost about 40 lbs, I'm a small person to begin with so EWW it was bad...5'3 and 89 lbs !! I went through prednisone, pentasa, immuran, you name it and still within a month and a half after being diagnosed was in surgery having a close to emergency bowel resection. Afterwards wasn't too bad (Thank goodness for morphine) but now as years have went by, I feel that it's getting the best of me again, My energy is almost obsolete. Never feel good. So back in for another colonoscomy soon to see where I am with this. If anyone has any energy boosters I would LOVE to hear from you. I'm looking forward to making some good friends here. Take Care =) Tonya
