3rd GI in a year

The last two took jobs outside of the city....I am beginning to think it is something I said.

It is not really a PITA because I am going to another doc in the same group, but I liked this last guy.

The good news is I don't have to see him until April.

I find the best GI is the one I don't have to see often .

Seriously though, I know it sucks having to switch any doctor. My brother went to one GI who was very cautious, and wanted to avoid anything more aggressive as my brother was younger (early teens). This meant he had to suffer for a longer period until finally he switched GI's and was put on a more aggressive treatment, and eventually surgery. He is feeling fine now.

I am lucky that I like my GI and have had him since I was diagnosed. As long as you feel like your needs are being met you should be ok. If you do not feel this is so, perhaps you can try being a bit more vocal over what you want.

Just becuase your GI left does not mean you have to be stuck with the replacement so if you feel uncomfortable consider trying a new one (and then I guess you can post about 4 GIs in one year )

ohh definitly ditto what yarmo said. if youre uncomfortable with the covering doc than by all means switch! my very first GI (loved her) took a job in cincinnati and i was put onto this other docs list. whew one appt with him and we were outta there. knowledgable, but def not a good match.

the best docs ive been to have come as refferals from people whom i deeply trust, so my advice is to ask around some of your docs or other professionals for some names. i got a great one from my nutritionist even
