Im sorta new to this

I have only recently been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, but i have been suffering from it for a while. I am on Prednisolone and it seems to be doing what its supposed to, but the side effects are so frustrating. I can't remember the last time i got more then maybe 2 hours sleep, i sweat excessively its disgusting, i shake sometimes (is that normal?) and acne, but the worst is my mood swings... I want to stop taking it, but i dont want to have a flare up..
I was missing so much work, and im a second year apprentice, i work full time. so my boss gave me a month off so they could find the right medication for me. They put me on Sulfasalazine but i had an intolerance. They want to put me on Imuran but not until i've had a chest scan to check for TB, and and MRI to see the severity of the inflammation, which is only mild they say... I dont really understand alot of it, but i want to.
Because it took so long for the doctors to figure out what was wrong with me, my friends started accusing me of faking it, its all in my head etc. None of them even make an effort to understand, and it pisses me off.
I'm just over everything, and i just want to go back to work, and i want my life to go back to normal...

My Support Groups:
Hi Maka, welcome to the forum. I think most of us have had to deal with friends/family/acquaintances who just don't understand what we go through. I'm sorry to hear that your friends haven't been very supportive, and unfortunately that's a pretty common thing around here. Fortunately this forum is full of helpful and supportive people who understand what life is like with this illness. We all support each other here and I'm glad you found us.

Your life probably won't go back to "normal" as you remember it, but you can manage this disease and live a full and happy life. You might take a few more pills and miss some of your favorite foods, but you should still be able to work and have a social life and live a relatively "normal" life in spite of the illness. Good luck with the imuran!

*HUGS* I don't know if there is anything more frustrating than being told you are faking it or it's just in your head.
My own mother until very recently used to tell me to "just get up and push through it". I was fortunate enough to have a very supportive husband, friends, and GI. But IDT it made my family's reaction hurt any less!
Hang in there!
