Now that I've returned to school everything familiar about this past year long flare up is returning, and the meds suddenly aren't enough.
The pain brings me right back to August, in the heat of the flare.
It's depressing me.
When will it end!
I just want to feel good.
So much going on in my life emotionally, I don't think I can cope if my body doesn't start cooperating.

I'm feeling so alone.

Thanks, Kelly.
This verse helped me a lot:

Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.

Shannon I know how you feel! I suffered for eight long months with pain and D before finally being pushed to the end of my rope. I was admitted to the hospital and the GI who was treating me made a very good case for my new treatment plan and allieviated some of my fears about humira. I'm finally getting the treatment I needed, and it sounds like you need to go to your GI and re-evaluate your situation. Wishing you the best!

I'm in a similar position. Haven't been in remission for over a year and had to withdraw from classes this past spring semester and still couldn't take more than one class this fall. The best thing I know to say is to keep in touch with friends and get out of the house when you feel well enough. Keeping a routine helps day to day. When I didn't really have much I needed to do was the hardest mentally/emotionally. Feel free to send me a PM if you want.
