Crohn's Disease Poetry

haha I wrote this for creative writing class, and thought yall might enjoy it.

It ate threw my body,

Like an animal eats its prey,

Sure its almost gone,

but the scars will always stay.

It made me weak and pale,

Made me stay awake in bed,

It made me scared to death,

Was I better off dead?

The fear of not knowing

was almost just as bad,

As the day that I found out,

Exactly what I had.

It wasnt just a virus,

It wasnt a cough, cold, or sneeze,

I had ulcerative colitis,

An inflamatory disease.

It caused alot of problems,

it caused alot of fuss,

It caused me kidney stones,

And even pancreatitus.

I will never be completely well,

I will always have UC,

But now I have a semi-colon;

Thanx to surgery.

They used my small intestine,

And made me a new colon,

So that I could go on with life,

And it would not be swollen.

So my life is almost normal,

My life back on track,

And theres one thing I know for sure,

I dont want my colon back.

That was great. I have a few poems I wrote but not about CD. Most about anxiety dreams. But I loved the cleverness you put in it was great.

Keep up with the writing

That was a cute poem.:) Keep up the good work. I, unfortunately don't have a creative bone in my body when it comes to writing poetry.
