Azathioprine does anyone know if this has codeine in it

DOES THIS MEDICNE HAVE CODEINE IN IT OR IMFERSON?
just had surgery in november 2010.
The doctor gave me this medicine ,but i get sick with this ever time i take it.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Azasan, Imuran as it is also called does not have codeine in it.

It does cause nausea in some people. Are you vomiting after taking it ?
Have you asked your GI about this side affect?

I only started taking this 5 days ago and yesterday and today I've been feeling sick but not actually thrown up. We do have an Imuran sub- forum that you could check out.
What dose are you on? Have you mentioned this to your doctors?

Hi and welcome! I would certainly phone your GI and let him know about the side effects you are having with Azathioprine. Perhaps levels need to be adjusted or it may just not be the right treatment for you. But it's best to clue your GI to figure out what is going on!
