Hello, everyone. I just joined the forums - and I'm a 33 year old woman with Crohn's disease, diagnosed in 98, with symptoms since 97. I've had a resection surgery and lost most of my small intestine along with my ileum and ileocecal valve. I'm now on Methotrexate and Pentasa for meds, and since Friday, evil prednisone once again. I'm currently in a flare, and have an ulcer.
I'm here basically for support, and hopefully I can get nutritional tips from folks that have any. Thanks and feel free to email me.

Hi, welcome to the forum. I wish you well in getting through your current flare. There's a lot of good people here and a support forum if you scroll down some on the main page. There's also a food and diet forum.

Hi Minerva- I hope your current flare up settles down. I started having resections many years ago and things can get sorted out, although there have been times when I didnt think it was possbile.

I'm sure you have been told what foods to avoid etc by your specialist, but if you need any specific suggestions, just ask anyone here with a similar history. Hope you feel better soon!
