• Welcome to Crohn's Forum, a support group for people with all forms of IBD. While this community is not a substitute for doctor's advice and we cannot treat or diagnose, we find being able to communicate with others who have IBD is invaluable as we navigate our struggles and celebrate our successes. We invite you to join us.

My Story

Diagnosed with Crohn's in 1989. Married. Gave birth to two children. One while in remission. The other while active with the disease. Numerous surgeries for peri-anal issues: fissures, fistulaes, abcesses. Going for a consultation for an ileostomy. Currently on Remicade and 6Mp plus antibiotics.

Hi and welcome! As David said, check out the surgery forum. Also, I bet you'll find the Stoma sub-forum helpful, too.

Several of our forum members have been doing terrific after surgery. I hope if you do in fact need an ileostomy, you'll feel wonderful afterwards.
