Can crohns pain be felt back where your right kidney is?

Let me try this post again - the pain eminates from the flank, so I can reach my hand around to by side/back and that is where I'll feel the pain, though deep. the whole flank can start to hurt.

I get that this is where your kidney is, but, I don't think its that far from where I had the ic valve etc. removed. So what do you think? Could it be bowels related even though I feel it in my back?

And when I was blocked the pain started there first!
And just got worse and worse, then I vomited.
In the A&E they kept harping on about kidneys and I was screaming at them..
'I've got Crohn's you knobs!'
They still made me have a kidney x ray tho!
