Do you guy's think I have Crohn's?

London,
Hi everyone, I'm a 36 year old male, my story is below, any help or feedback would be appreciated.

I feel I’ve Known for about 9 years+ that something has not been right with immune system as get very run down at times, especially if drinking any alcohol, I am guaranteed to come out in mouth ulcers and cold sores. I have been to doctors several times over the years and had several blood tests, they have come back with low white blood cell count before although ok after retaken weeks later. Have had several liver blood tests over the years.

Anyway here’s my symptoms over the past 8 weeks.
Feb - itchy skin at night for several nights had to move to sleep downstairs, itchy all over from memory.

March 4th - breakout of approx. 40 mouth ulcers, went to docs, they thought stress, healed in 2 weeks,

March 20th - 2nd outbreak of mouth ulcers, at least 40-50, went to docs, they sent me for some blood tests, included liver tests (came back clear), healed in about 2weeks again.

March 24th – very soar itchy eye on the way to work, was swollen and very blood shot, I remember this happening again a week or so later.

March 31st - Started to get a little central abdominal pain accompanied by very tender skin on right side of body in upper ribs area, hurt to touch sending shooting pains through body, could not eat diner as had no appetite. Painful skin lasted approx. for 3 days. Went to docs, they gave me anti acids and Ovzeralmole.
I remember going to work in the morning and not being at all hungry although tried to eat a banana, this made me feel very sick and at work was over toilet for about 30 mins with bad nausea. Went home for rest of the day.
The stomach pain felt worse on an empty stomach, especially bad at approx. 2-4am, i was waking up in pain and this was released by eating some food and taking anti acid. Waking up at 3-4am with this pain for about 5 days on the trot, also getting pain during day and needing to eat.

7th April, the sharp pain subsided in centre of abdomen (could be the ozamadole) although had general discomfort all over stomach. At this time I noticed my stools were very pale (yellowish) in colour. (still very pale now), lower stomach very tender to touch all over and feeling quite bloated. If I try to jog the lower stomach feels like allot of pressure pushing down.

11th April - Went to see private healthcare specialist at Blackheath hospital and was sent for a ultrasound, this came back without concern. I also did a stool sample.

14th April - Still having general discomfort in stomach and feeling bloated, lower stomach very tender and painful, more so in evenings and at night (still taking tablets) although started having very sharp pain in lower left side of back, Pain very bad in lower back next day to the point where it's hard to move, also sides of neck tender to touch and turn head fully, hurts to move head towards right shoulder especially. Lost about 5 pounds in weight although diet has changed and may be reason

I have noticed I get very cold hands when the temp is down, it has been noticed and commented on over the past few months.

16/04 - had Endoscopy, nothing could be seen although biopsy’s taken for testing. Stopped taking Opronazole

17/04 - back pain has gone (that may of just been muscular), very bad lower stomach discomfort and bloating, just noticed stool was not quite as yellow/pale (still pale) although noticed some fatty bits (like clouds coming off the stool) on the stool and stool looked a bit greasy. Stool would not flush, after 3 failed flushes I put some tissue over it and flushed and kept flushing in order for stool to get flushed.

17/04 - went to doctors to get results of stool test, CALPROTECTIN (FAECAL) HIGH AT 193 - INDICATES ACTIVE INTESTINAL DISEASE, sign of intestinal inflammation.

I am very concerned that this might be Crohn's disease, any help for you guys would be much appreciated.

Thanks for reading

Hi Ecobr, Definitely sounds like crohns or ulcerated colitis, I too had mine undiagnoised for 8 plus years until recently. I would suggest going to a specialist in your area and having more tests done (have you had a colonoscopy?). Dont give up, put some pressure on them. I am about to have a pill cam done as my scopes have shown up with ulcerated colitis, but my Dr is sure it is crohns as my small bowel has not been checked. Its so frustrating that there isnt a clear answer quickly. Definitely see a specialist for more tests. I am having a lot of body pain, eye pain etc too, so I totally understand! I wish you the best with it all. Keep us updated :poo:

London,
Thank you for your responce, I have a follow up appointment on Monday to see the doctor and get the results of the endoscopy, although since the stool test has now come back with high calprotectin levels at 193 I would think the next step is the camera up the other end. To be honest I firstly would like them to rule out anythink more synyster like bowel cancer, all these symptoms are so simular to so many things. Are my outbursts of moth ulcers an indication of Crohn's? Also I have suffered over the last few years with soar gums when i get run down.

London,
Also after the mouth ulcers one of the first symptoms was very painful skin on the right side of my body, felt like severe sun burn. I've not seen anyone else mention this symptom?

That sun burn feeling on your skin -
Get your bones checked just in Case.

Sounds like you could have some kind of IBD.
Its hard to tell. So many symptoms are so diverse in different people.
Make sure you eat gluten before the colonoscopy. "rule out ceoliacs".
Enjoy the song that never ends, it's goes on and on my friend.
