Mom to Claire - 11 going on 17

Dx JRA age 3, Crohn's age 6
Acute transverse myelitis at age 5

Started IVIG September 2016
Started Tacrolimus October 2016
Neurontin 100mg twice daily
Folic Acid
Calcium/D supplement
Daily Vitamin
Daily Probiotic

No more Enbrel, Stelara, Methotrexate, Allopurinal or 6MP

So sad to hear this. A tragic loss. My heart goes out to his family.
Son (age 13) diagnosed with Crohn's Feb. 2012.
Currently on Imuran and Sulfasalazine.

Also taking: TuZen probiotic and following a low FODMAP diet (not very strictly).

Past Treatments: Prednisone, Flagyl, Cipro, Pentasa, exclusive EN via NG tube (6 weeks), Prevacid, Iberogast (20 drops twice a day) and high doses of vitamin B2.

I remember seeing his username a lot. Not just here but on another message board I used to go on. For him to try and help others with a disease he himself didn't even have did not go unnoticed. Prayers to his family.

SO very sad - I'm a newbie to crohn's so I only just discovered his blog (trying to read everything i can get my hands on) and was pleasantly surprised by his intelligent and caring nature. my sincerest condolences on this great loss

What a tragedy. The family will be in my prayers.

I must admit, the conspiracy theorist in me makes me wonder how a guy who knew the risks and was doing what it took to be healthy and avoid such a demise still meets such a demise. A guy who was no doubt pissing off very powerful interests.
