Pentasa dose

What dose of pentasa are you on? My doc perscribed 4000 mg a day for a the first few days then 2000 mg a day, the pharmacy is refusing to give it to me because they say its too high for someone my age/weight.

What dose are you on?

I'm on 3000mg a day and I use 1000mg suppository every second day which bumps me up to 4000mg on those days.

I've never been questioned by the pharmacist.

I'm 5"11 and 80 kilos (176 pounds) so I'm not a huge guy either.

My son at 95 lbs was on 2000 a day, seems like a call from the pharmacy to your GI for clarification would be in order

Right now I'm on 2000mg a day. Earlier this year when I switched GI's I was on 4000mg a day. But, the 4000mg was a little too much for me. So, my new GI was willing to reduce doses before trying anything else.
