Crohns and pregnancy: How does it affect you?

Hi, I'm a 15 year old student, living with a mother who suffers from crohn's disease. My mum has been battling Crohn's for 30 years now and its been a great struggle for her. We've now been recently told that she may have it in both bowles which is great saddness. She has been on numerous treatments but none have seemed to work or even help! She's suffered many side effects and is in poor condition.

When recently speaking to her, she told me that when she was pregnant - with my sister, then with me - she did not feel the effects of crohns. This sparked my interest and I wonder whether this may be the same for any other women suffering. If you could please let me know if you've ever had this during pregnancy, it would be a great help. Thank you

The whole time I was pregnant with my daughter I didn't have any symptoms. It wasn't until 3 weeks after I had her that I had a flare up.
