Generic for Pentasa???????????

Does anybody know if there is a generic for Pentasa in the works? It first came out in March of 1993 so it has past the 20 year patent has expired making it open to generics.

I have been on this almost as long as it has been out (except times w/o insurance). At the moment my insurance covers it and I pay $1 a month, but my circumstances are changing and I will not have coverage come new year.... So I am really hoping a generic comes out soon.

Unfortunately no approved generic to pentasa. I have over 200 pills still factory sealed. I can't even use any more. Stupid perscription drug laws.
