Buldge in side

Ok this is weird on my left side where most of my disease is I have a buldge like my colon is hard and swollon or something. I was worried it was a blockage so I have been doing liquids all day have call to GI but as usuall have not heard back. sometimes the pain runs into the left side of my back its not so severe that tylonal wont take the edge off however this is not normal. Any ideas?? My insurance is horrible so been holding on going to ER hoping GI will call so thought I would check to see if anyone else has ever dealt with this.
