Can anyone feel their stool move inside them?

Not sure what I have yet although all of my symptoms lead to IBD. Throughout the years I have always had tummy trouble. Constipation mostly. At times I get a rash on my elbows, knees, and back. It itches like nothing I have ever experienced! I recently had a bad bout of stomach cramps and sever D. I went 15 plus times in one night. I have also had bright red blood in my stool and toilet. I also have mucus in my stool. Crazy bloating, gas, and a distended stomach. I have a colonoscopy and endoscopy scheduled for Monday. But have any of you felt your poop moving through your intestinal track? Thoughts on my symptoms? ??

They're all symptoms of IBD for sure. Apart from the skin rashes (tbh ive never really checked) I have had many symptoms similar to yourself. Severe cramps, diarrhoea every single time i went to the toilet for about 10-11 days running I think 9 in one day was the most (didn't lose any weight though) and bright red blood, although mine was mixed in the mucus as oppose to the stool. I get gas but I also get crazy borborygmi too (stomach gurgling)!!

Never felt stool moving through my intestinal tract, but the positive thing also is that you are 24-48hrs away from being ever so close to a diagnosis so definitely try keep us updated. I have a colonoscopy and MRI in next 2-3 weeks so fingers crossed for us both.. weirdly though I have been absolutely fine for the last 4-5 weeks, bar the odd bit of diarrhoea here and there, but minimal cramping, if any

Thank you for your reply! Hopefully the docs will tell me something! I hate the gas pains as well as the bloating. Good luck with your exam!

Last year I had severe gas and bloating. So bad that I actually limited my food intake. About 3 to 4 months ago I started to eat pretty normal. Was fine for awhile but about a month and a half ago I started to bloat again. Then I got hit with bad nausea and D. That lasted about 2 to 3 days. I was fine for a day or so and then got hit with severe D. I went 15 plus times throughout the night. Crazy gurgling and blood. TMI but my anus was on fire! It burned so bad and bright red blood was in the toilet. I also had mucus in my stool for a few days after that. The D was off and on for a few more days. That's when I went to the GI specialist. For the past 2 weeks I still have had gas and bloating but no D. Still some mucus and my stomach distends after I eat and I feel very full after a small amount of food. I can remember years ago have small bouts like this and then feel fine. Always had constipation though. I actually have felt fine all day today until dinner. Now I am very gassy and bloated. Tomorrow I start my fast for the exam Monday looking forward to it. I need answers. What are your thoughts?

I definitely do. Actually, I was just thinking earlier how I can't remember the last time I ate and didn't feel the entire process of digestion and movement through my intestinal tract.

Thank you for the reply! I thought I was crazy and maybe just gas..which I guess it could be but I swear I feel movement. It was almost like when I was pregnant. I know I'm not preggo cause the doc has tested me several times. Although I haven't had a period since July. Can IBD mess with your menstrual cycle?

YES! At least according to my OBG/GYN. When I was on warafin (Coumadin) after a PE (non Crohn's related) I was worried I would bleed like crazy since the drug decreases clotting. Instead I completely lost my period until at least a year after going off the meds. Later (when the Crohn's had started but I didn't know yet) as I got weaker and weaker due to UNSEEN blood loss (eventually discovered to be from GI tract) I lost my period.. got it back for about a month once my hemoglobin got up to 12.9 (from a low of 4.6), now I have missed four months straight, so getting blood tested again tomorrow to see if anemia has returned. My OB/GYN explained both situations as sometimes the body will eliminate unnecessary functions (ie, a period) when the body is under stress. My hematologist didn't exactly agree, but was VERY pleased that my period had returned though I realized later he didn't really say why. And he isn't too thrilled it has disappeared again.. so I will ask him tomorrow how he perceives the relationship.
