My Support Groups:
Coming off Aza

Hi, everyone
I haven't been on here for a while and I've generally been doing ok. In fact, probably just had my best year for ages. So, after being on aza for about 7 years my consultant has decided to try me coming off the drugs. I'm dropping the dose every three months starting now with 100mgs, then 75, 50 and 25. So I should be off in a year. Another factor for coming off is that I've recently had a third basal cell carcinoma excised from my face. A direct connection to the aza can't be proven.... it may be the time I spent in the sun in the 1970s, but maybe not.
So, I've got a mixture of excitement and trepidation. If anyone has any experiences or comments to add, please feel free. Otherwise, hi again to all the people who were on the forum when I was last on it, and hi to all the new guys who have arrived since. I hope you're all doing well.
Steve J
