How do i find a specialized doctor

I want to go for a second opinion. I will be searching the Boston area, so i know there are LOTS to choose from. How can i find a doctor who specializes in Fistulas (or strictures)?

Hi...Ron has given a good suggestion there.. you could also try googling stricture /fistula specialists in the Boston area. It may throw up some names for you to check out...
Best wishes 💕💕

I suggest searching for a GI who is an IBD specialist. Fistulas and strictures seems rather too narrow to have its own sub-specialty. They are complications of a disease rather than diseases unto themselves. A GI who spends his/her career focused on IBD will have a lot of experience dealing with fistulas and strictures.

Thanks guys.

Ron, i have a PPO health plan and rarely use a GP.

I get that Scipio, i knew it was a long shot. I was hoping that someone might have experience. I believe that Mass General has a Crohns & Colitis center. I think i'll try them.
