:applause: NEWEST UPDATE ON MY HUSBAND

Well as you all know back in December 2005 my loving husband of 28 years was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. Since that time he has lost weight but is feeling good. He has gone through a number of REMICADE TREATMENTS { 6 TOTAL } & so we prayed each time that they would work for him & I do believe that they must have helped him in some ways.

He was also on a number of medications from the start & I am happy to say that he is ONLY on 1 PILL which is IMURAN & with those he is taking 3 in the morning with breakfast & 2 at night with dinner. So, that is a nice change.

Well, I am here to tell all of you that he has a CHECK * UP on Tuesday - 19th this week & he got a GOOD REPORT too. 1st of that GOOD NEWS was that we have seen the last of the REMICADE TREATMENTS he is no longer having to do them which is WONDERFUL NEWS all around because he was suppose to have one TOMORROW on our daughter’s 18th BIRTHDAY and well … we are just PRAISING GOOD for the GOOD NEWS !! Next he bit of news is that he does not have to go back until DECEMBER for another check up but before that check up happens he will have to have a X – RAY of somesort what kind only he can tell you that. The GI SPECIALIST asked him how he was feeling because he had noticed that he had lost about 35 POUNDS since his last check up so he started out back in December at 234 & today he is sitting at 165 & has gone from a 40 WAIST to a 38/36 WAIST in pants so it’s been fun going shopping for him for NEW CLOTHES.

So, there you have it folks a wonderful update on him so please continue to keep him in prayer that all continues to go well for him & that we can continue to AVOID SURGERY at all cost !! I will also continue to pray for all of you here at CROHN’S FORUM that the LORD will help all of you through your PROBLEMS.

thats great news karen. congrats to your hubby and your family.
so this means he is in remission I take it? calls for a celebration for sure.

I guess since he gets to come off the Remicade, Imuran will be his maintenance drug? Im not aloud to come off the remicade or methotrexate, even though Im in remission.. but Im too nervous to really want to come off my drugs right now anyways. lol
I hope he maintains this remission for a very long time. fingers crossed for you all.

SIS, this is the best news. I have been wondering about your husband. I take it he's finally off all prednisone as well? Thank God, I'm so happy for you and your family. I pray he maintains remission for a very long time. Hi to Kayln, I sent her a birthday card on her day..hope she had a fun time. The best present of all was to hear of her fathers wellness I'm sure. Hugs to all.
