Questions for people who had a total colectomy or a proctocolectomy

Hi, I have a few questions.

How many bowel movements do you have in a day, generally (if you have a pelvic pouch)?

Could you describe the stool consistency?

Do you suffer from dehydration more easily than the general population, because of the lack of colon?

How is your blood pressure and heart rate? How has it changed after the surgery?

I appreciate the responses. Thank you.

I had a total colectomy in 2017. I was lucky and didn’t wake up with a pelvic pouch.

Consistency has been semi formed depending on what I eat and the amount of water intake.

I get dehydrated very quickly. It’s a fine line between peeing every 20 minutes and having dry mouth.

Blood pressure and heart rate have not changed.
