Yogurt while traveling?

I'm going to be traveling in London and Paris this summer and wondering what to do about yogurt. I would rather not go without it but making it while traveling seems impractical. I know there are lactose-free yogurts commercially available containing lactase. I've heard people say to avoid these, but anyone know specifically why? Would it be worth it for a short period of time? What about commercial kefir?

I've heard of people taking a probiotic in capsule form while traveling, maybe that would be a feasible option.
