The pylorus is the part of the stomach that connects to the. duodenum It is made up of two parts:

- The pyloric antrum, which connects to the body of the stomach.
- The pyloric canal, which connects to the duodenum.

At the end of the pyloric canal is the pyloric sphincter (a thick ring of muscle) which helps regulate the release of stomach contents into the small intestine.
